Information about Ingredients (Allergies)
From time-to-time we receive inquiries from people concerned about ingredients and allergies.
We manufacture two products lines at our facility -- our BB Bats® and Kits® taffy and our Marpro® Marshmallow Cones (www.marshmallowcone.com). We do not use any nuts in either product line. All processing and packing equipment is separate so neither product ever touches the equipment of the other line.
The only oil in the Marshmallow Cones is a trace amount of soybean oil. The only oil in the taffy is palm kernel oil, although trace amounts of canola oil are put on the machinery to help keep the taffy from sticking to machine parts.
The ingredients used in the Marpro® Marshmallow Cones are indicated on the package: sugar, corn syrup, flour, gelatin, sorbitol, starch, soybean oil, baking soda, salt and some artificial colors and flavorings. There is nothing else in the Marshmallow Cones. The flour is wheat flour. The starch is corn starch. The gelatin is pork gelatin.
The ingredients used in the BB Bats® and Kits® are indicated on the package: corn syrup, sugar, palm kernel oil, salt and soy lecithin. The chocolate taffy contains cocoa powder and chocolate liquor. The vanilla taffy contains artificial flavorings. The banana and strawberry taffies contain artificial colors and flavors. There are relatively small amounts of corn starch used to keep the taffy from sticking to the packaging equipment.
